Dear Goodman Middle School Families,

As we begin the high school registration process for our 8th grade students, we want to share important information about what to expect, key dates, and where to find helpful resources. Our goal is to ensure that students and families feel informed and supported as students plan for their transition to high school.

High School Registration Overview
During the registration process, students will be introduced to the High School and Beyond Plan, which is housed in Schoolinks. This plan helps students begin thinking about their academic goals and future pathways. As part of this introduction, students will enter the classes they hope to take during their freshman year. This is a planning activity and does not lock students into final course selections.

Timeline of Events

  1. February 9th - High School & Beyond Plan (HSBP): Planning and researching 9th grade classes in SchooLinks. This will take place in science classes with GMS counselors.


  1. February 11th - Incoming Tide Night at GHHS !!TONIGHT!! 6:30-8:15PM


  1. February 23rd - GHHS counselors visit Goodman for an Intro to HS Life and Registration presentation and to answer questions.


  1. February 27th - Registration follow-up in science classes by GMS counselors


  1. March 2nd - LAST DAY to register in Powerschool by 3:00pm and LAST DAY to turn in paper registration form to science teacher or main office


Where to Find Helpful Information

  • Schoolinks: Students will access Schoolinks through their school account to complete their High School and Beyond Plan. The GHHS course catalogue can also be found here.

  • Schoology: In the Class of 2030 Course in the Materials folder in Schoology

We encourage families to talk with their students about course interests and high school goals as they complete their plans.
