Get ready to celebrate the magic of the season at our annual Jingle & Mingle! This special evening will be filled with joyful music, community connection, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Enjoy performances from our incredibly talented student groups, including:

Girls Basketball Registration

Registration for Girls Basketball is now live! Registration will close Monday, January 5th, and the season (tryouts) begins on Tuesday, January 6th.

Girls Basketball is open to 7th and 8th grade girls! Visit the athletics section of our Goodman website for more information on each sport. 

Please register your athlete by going to https://peninsula-wa.finalforms.com/ in order to:

1.) Create your parent account
2.) Add your student(s) to your account and select their Fall sport
3.) Sign and submit your required forms to participate in that sport

Yearbook Grad Ads

Hello, proud parents of 8th Grade Graduates! The Yearbook Staff is pleased to offer β€œGrad Ads” in the Yearbook for your graduating 8th graders this year! This is a fun way to recognize your students' last year of middle school!
Deadline to purchase is Dec 31, 2025. No entries will be considered after this date due to Yearbook deadlines. Cost is $20 payable to the bookkeeper (cash or check in person or online HERE (Look on left side for purchases!).) Please contact maloned@psd401.net for scholarship funds if necessary. The Yearbook Staff is thrilled to create this keepsake for you and your graduate!

News from the Health Room

Should you stay or should you go?
Stay home when you are sick, wash hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes.
Students will be kept home from school/sent home from school for any of the following symptoms that may indicate a communicable disease:
  • Fever – oral temperature of 100.4 F or greater
  • Shortness of breath and/or cough
  • Red, draining eye(s)
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Rash
  • Any symptom(s) causing great discomfort for the student (e.g., severe cough, sore throat, earache, headache)
Student may return to school after illness under the following conditions unless directed otherwise by local health jurisdiction:
  • Fever-free without anti-fever medication for 24 hours
  • Relief from symptoms including shortness of breath and/or cough
  • No vomiting for 24 hours
  • No diarrhea for 24 hours
  • Note from health care provider indicating no longer contagious
COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses guidance
If a student or staff member is symptomatic of COVID-19 or any other respiratory virus they should stay home. As much as possible, you should stay home and away from others until at least 24 hours after both;
  • Your symptoms are getting better overall, and; 
  • You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication).
How to prevent respiratory viruses
  • Good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette (cover your mouth/nose when sneezing or coughing).
  • Clean and disinfect high touch surfaces.
  • Make sure buildings are well ventilated. 
  • Get your COVID-19 and other vaccines.
  • Stay home when sick or symptomatic with a respiratory virus.
  • Wear a well-fitting, high quality mask. 
 

News from the Library!

It’s getting cold outside! That’s the perfect time to cozy up with a good book. Visit the GMS Library to discover your next read or rediscover an old favorite. Our β€œWinter” collection is on display now and we have so many new arrivals to explore.

Special thanks to the VPO for hosting a fabulous in-person Scholastic book fair! We have already added over 50 new books from the funds raised through Scholastic and direct donations from Goodman students and staff.

Skip The Wait ... Send A Note!

πŸš— Did you know that your student can meet you right at your car for early dismissals?
Just send them with a note to bring to the office in the morning, and we’ll give them a pass. When it’s time to go, they’ll be ready and waiting outside at the time you choose. Easy, quick, and stress-free!

Winter Break Reminder

Be sure to take home all materials you will need during Winter Break on Dec. 19th because the school will be closed until January 5th. This includes throwing out old lunches and taking home any extra articles of clothing to be washed (i.e. gym clothes), along with anything you might want to use during the break like books or other school materials (charge your ChromeBook!).
