We are excited to see our Roadrunners at Goodman on Wednesday, September 2!
Before the first day of school, here are some important items students will want to know in advance:

- School starts at 8:15 and ends at 2:45 (9:15 - 2:45 on Wednesdays)
- Know your student ID number
- Know your portal user name and password - if you are brand new to our district you will be able to get that from our librarian on your first day
- Know your schedule - check it in your portal the night before school in case changes have been made, and it helps to print a copy or write it down or have a photo of it on your phone for reference
- Your 4th period class determines what lunch you have. Check the lunch schedule posted on this page once that is available
- Know your address and parent phone numbers - it helps to write this info down also in case your phone battery dies during the school day
- Know your locker number and combination (you can find this in your portal and it will be printed on your schedule)
- *Important: please do not use stickers or markers on your locker to decorate!
- only use removable accessories and decorations for your locker
- do not share your locker with anyone
- do not share your locker combination with anyone
- lockers have attached locks, you do not need to bring your own lock
- Know your after school plan to get home - bus or parent pick-up, make sure you know before you get to school every morning! We are not able to get last minute reminder messages to students during the school day, please review your plan each morning if necessary
- Don't come to school if you are not feeling well, and check in with our Health Room if you feel unwell during the school day
- Charge your chromebook overnight so it's fully charged for school each day
- You should bring a refillable water bottle - we have a water bottle filling station and drinking fountains can be found around the building as well

Apply Now for Free/Reduced Meals and More Benefits for the 2026-2027 School Year!
As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to remind you about an important opportunity that goes beyond just meals. Now is the time to apply for the Free/Reduced Meals Application for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This program offers a wide range of benefits that extend far beyond the cafeteria.
Eligibility is More Than a Meal!
When you qualify for the Free/Reduced Meals program, not only does your student receive nourishing meals, but they also gain access to discounts on various fees associated with technology, credit recovery, college applications, and college preparatory exams. This means your student can explore their academic potential without the worry of financial constraints.
Empowering Education Through Support
Beyond the immediate benefits, the Free/Reduced Meal program plays a pivotal role in funding students' overall education. The program helps provide essential resources such as technology tools and internet access, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage in digital learning environments. By participating in this program, you're contributing to a more equitable and inclusive education for all students in our district.
Applying is Easy and Flexible
We understand that life gets busy, and that's why we've designed the application process to be hassle-free. Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year, giving you the flexibility to apply when it's most convenient for you.
For more information on how to apply and eligibility criteria, please visit Child Nutrition.

Conference Week will be October 26th-30th and will give our students a chance to meet with their individual teachers along with their parents to discuss learning goals for this school year. We will use ParentSquare again this year for scheduling conference appointments. Watch for messages from each of your student's teachers with directions for scheduling your appointments. If you wish to meet with any or all of your student's teachers you will be able to schedule those appointments all within ParentSquare. All appointments must be scheduled in advance, we will not have any drop-in format conference times. If you are unable to schedule an appointment during Conference Week but would like the opportunity to meet with one or more of your student's teachers, please feel free to reach out the them and/or your student's counselor to make other arrangements.
