Dear Roadrunner Families,
I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Goodman Middle School and to officially welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year!
With nearly 20 years in education, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher and school leader. Each step of my journey has deepened my belief in the power of strong school communities—and from everything I’ve already seen and heard, Goodman is a very special place.
There is an unmistakable sense of pride, tradition, and spirit here that defines what it means to be a Roadrunner. I’m incredibly excited to continue the great work already happening and to partner with you in supporting every student’s academic growth, emotional well-being, and sense of belonging.
Middle school is a unique and important time in a student’s life—full of growth, questions, discovery, and connection. I look forward to walking alongside our staff, families, and students as we build on Goodman’s strengths and move forward together.
This year, we’ll continue to focus on creating safe, inclusive spaces where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to be their best selves. I can’t wait to celebrate learning, milestones, and the everyday wins that make this work so meaningful.
Whether you're returning or new to our community, I invite you to stay connected and involved. Together, we’ll make this a fantastic year!
Here’s to an exciting year ahead—Go Roadrunners!
Warmly,
Stephanie Strader
Principal, Goodman Middle School

📣 Apply Now for Free/Reduced Meals and More Benefits for the 2025-2026 School Year! 🍎📚
As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to remind you about an important opportunity that goes beyond just meals. Now is the time to apply for the Free/Reduced Meals Application for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This program offers a wide range of benefits that extend far beyond the cafeteria.
Eligibility is More Than a Meal!
When you qualify for the Free/Reduced Meals program, not only does your student receive nourishing meals, but they also gain access to discounts on various fees associated with technology, credit recovery, college applications, and college preparatory exams. This means your student can explore their academic potential without the worry of financial constraints.
Empowering Education Through Support
Beyond the immediate benefits, the Free/Reduced Meal program plays a pivotal role in funding students' overall education. The program helps provide essential resources such as technology tools and internet access, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage in digital learning environments. By participating in this program, you're contributing to a more equitable and inclusive education for all students in our district.
Applying is Easy and Flexible
We understand that life gets busy, and that's why we've designed the application process to be hassle-free. Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year, giving you the flexibility to apply when it's most convenient for you.
For more information on how to apply and eligibility criteria, please visit Child Nutrition.
We will be working on schedules over the summer and they should be available in the student portal by August 22nd. Please be patient!
Once schedules are published, if you have questions you can reach out to your counselor directly.

Conference Week will be October 27-31st and will give our students a chance to meet with their individual teachers along with their parents to discuss learning goals for this school year. We will use ParentSquare again this year for scheduling conference appointments. Watch for messages from each of your student's teachers with directions for scheduling your appointments. If you wish to meet with any or all of your student's teachers you will be able to schedule those appointments all within ParentSquare. All appointments must be scheduled in advance, we will not have any drop-in format conference times.
