Goodman Announcements and Information

  • Join us on Thursday, August 29th!

All NEW students of any grade are invited between 9:00 - 11:30 to drop in, pick up your course schedule, tour the building with your family to find your classes, check out your locker, meet some of our ASB leaders, and get your school pictures taken. Incoming 6th graders and all students new to Goodman are welcome for the morning session. The format will be self-paced, you are welcome to take as much time as you would like, however, the photographers will need to finish by 11:30, so please plan accordingly.

All RETURNING students are invited between 12:30 - 3:00 that day to pick up schedules and get school photos taken. You are welcome anytime before 3:00, at which time the photographers will be leaving and the school will be closed.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd, and there will be plenty of people here to help get schedules for students and help them find their way that day as well, so don't worry if you can't make it before then. For returning students, you will also be able to check your schedule in your portal if you are not able to come pick it up in person.

We will have a Picture Make Up Day on September 23rd for any students who aren't able to join us on August 29th. See the link on this page for ordering photos from Yuen Lui School Photography for the August 29th Picture Day.

We are excited to see our Roadrunners on Thursday, August 29th!

  • Please join us on September 19th and 5:30 pm for our Open House!

There will be a short presentation in the Commons at 5:30 pm, followed by time for you to visit classrooms. Our event will conclude at 7:00 pm. We encourage you to bring a copy of your student's schedule or list of teachers you want to meet. We will have maps of the building available and staff will help direct you as needed. Our fabulous VPO will be here selling Spirit Wear and helping parents sign up to volunteer with them, so look for their table!

Parking is limited to marked parking spots in our main lot with overflow in the bus parking area. Please do not park on the shoulder of the main street as it impedes local traffic through the area. Carpooling is always recommended for our larger events if possible.

We look forward to seeing you!

As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to remind you about an important opportunity that goes beyond just meals. Now is the time to apply for the Free/Reduced Meals Application for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This program offers a wide range of benefits that extend far beyond the cafeteria.

Eligibility is More Than a Meal!

When you qualify for the Free/Reduced Meals program, not only does your student receive nourishing meals, but they also gain access to discounts on various fees associated with technology, credit recovery, college applications, and college preparatory exams. This means your student can explore their academic potential without the worry of financial constraints.

    Empowering Education Through Support

The program helps provide essential resources such as technology tools and internet access, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage in digital learning environments. By participating in this program, you're contributing to a more equitable and inclusive education for all students in our district.

    Applying is Easy and Flexible

We understand that life gets busy, and that's why we've designed the application process to be hassle-free. Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year, giving you the flexibility to apply when it's most convenient for you.
