OCTOBER 2023 NEWSLETTER

Hello Roadrunner Nation,

Our students just finished up the Fall IREADY reading and math diagnostic assessment. Our next step is to have staff take this information and begin goal setting with our students.

I want to emphasize the importance of setting goals for our middle school students. Setting goals is a fundamental skill that not only helps our children achieve academic success but also fosters important life skills such as self-discipline, perseverance, and time management.

We ask you to encourage your child to set both short-term and long-term goals, whether they be related to academics, extracurricular activities, or personal development. By doing so, they will gain a sense of purpose and direction, allowing them to track their progress and celebrate their achievements. Your support in this endeavor is crucial, as it will empower our students to take ownership of their education and develop valuable skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.

We know everyone has a different pace and set of skills.  It is our charge to do whatever it takes to support them throughout this adventure and prepare them for the next journey of high school and beyond. This is what Goodman wants to celebrate, not just being at the top but the hard work getting to the top.

Respectfully,

Ty Robuck-Principal
